My personality traits are joyful, talkitive, and compassionate. I believe I would be a great caregiver because I have experience with hospice care from personal experience, I have experience with my grandpa who had a severe stroke and was paralyzed on his right side, I have experience with mobility and toileting as well as showering and other activities for daily living. I have been a caregiver a couple of times and I think I enjoy it the most because I get to be there for people who need it the most. I enjoy being a caregiver because not many people can honestly say they have someone not only to help them with basic things but also as a companion or friend and I'm glad I get to be that person. I am personally proud of having been able to be there for my elderly grandpa before he passed away while on hospice. Being the person to make him comfortable and guide him on his path to heaven was a wonderful gift. And I truly hope I can continue to do that also in my journey to becoming a nurse.
